Summary
PolyU’s Food Safety Consortium [FSC] and Food Safety and Technology Research Centre [FSTRC] joined force to promote PolyU’s food safety related capabilities and explore collaboration opportunities through exhibition and attendance at the CIFSQ 2020, one of the most representative food safety events held every year in China. With a focus on professional education and networking, the CIFSQ brought global experts together to address critical issues and identify recent advances in science, management, legislation, safety standards, innovative technologies that could make a difference towards enhancing food safety.
Dr. Terence Lau, Interim Associate Vice President (Innovation and Technology Development) of PolyU and Convener of FSC spoke in the keynote “Food Safety During and After COVID-19 Pandemic” and panel discussion “Role of Biotech and Infotech Innovations in Improving/Ensuring Food Safety and Nutrition” moderated by Mr. Yves Rey on day 1.
