The 12th World Sustainability Forum (WSF-12) successfully took place in Hong Kong from 21 to 24 August 2026. Co-hosted by the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering (BEEE), the forum brought together global experts to bridge science, policy, and society for a sustainable future.

Our member, Ir Prof. Vivien LU Lin, Professor and Associate Head (Teaching) at BEEE, co-chaired this landmark event. During the opening ceremony, Prof. Lu, alongside Prof. Wang Zuankai, Associate Vice President (Research), emphasised interdisciplinary research and international collaboration to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

Prof. Lu also introduced the organisers and key partners, outlined the forum's program, and officially opened WSF-12.

Addressing climate change and resource constraints, WSF-12 highlighted cross-sector partnerships and technological innovation to accelerate the transition from vision to action for global sustainability.
