Prof. Liu Tao, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been awarded the Young Innovative Researcher Award (YIRA) 2026 by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He is one of only six rising scholars university-wide to receive this honour, which recognizes outstanding researchers under the age of 35 who demonstrate exceptional potential in driving high-impact, interdisciplinary innovation.
