HKIE CA Paper Competition 2021/22

: Mr Kwok Kin Chung, Ms Lee Wing Tung, and Mr Mo Ho Tung, 2021 final year students in B.Eng. (Hons) in Air Transport Engineering, won the Championship in the HKIE CA paper competition 2020/21 (undergraduate/sub-degree level), with the paper titled “Study of flight arrival and departure delay and causal factors using machine learning approach”, which was supervised by Dr K.H. Ng.

: AAE students Mr CHONG Man Ho, Ms LAM Hok Sam and Mr YIU Cho Yin won the Outstanding Award in the ASM Technology Award 2022. The team was supervised by Dr NG Kam Hung. The title of their project is " Towards safe and collaborative aerodrome operations: Assessing shared situational awareness for adverse weather detection with EEG-enabled Bayesian neural networks".

: Mr. TSANG Kun Yat, an alumnus of B.Eng. (Hons) in Aviation Engineering, won the HKIE LTD Best Student Paper Awards 2020 with the project titled “Blockchain-based system for aircraft parts traceability and condition tracking”, which is supervised by Dr K.H. Ng and Prof. Simon Yu. The project aims to establish the transformation of the aircraft parts inventory management to a secure one by incorporating blockchain to enhance the security, transparency, and traceability of data in the spare parts supply chain.
