The PolyU-BGI Joint Research Centre for Genomics and Synthetic Biology in Global Ocean Resources is pleased to announce that Professor Simon LEE Ming-yuen, Director of the Centre, has received the “Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Knowledge Transfer: Industry” under the Faculty Awards for Outstanding Achievement & Outstanding Alumni Award 2025.
Presented by the Faculty of Science, the awards recognize outstanding achievements in teaching, research and scholarly activities, research student supervision, knowledge transfer, and alumni scholarly achievement. Professor Lee was recognized for his distinguished contributions to transforming scientific research into impactful industrial applications, strengthening academia-industry collaboration, and driving innovation that benefits society and the economy.
