Precision theranostics refers to a combination of precision diagnostics and therapy for a variety of diseases, which is revolutionizing many aspects of medical decisions, treatments and practices by providing early diagnostics and personalized treatment for patients, reducing the time, cost and failure rate of pharmaceutical trials, and predicting susceptibility to diseases.
The Joint Research Center for Biosensing and Precision Theranostics (RCBPT) was established on 1 Nov 2023 to address the current challenges in existing diagnostics and therapy technology. RCBPT will integrate multi-disciplinary experts in PolyU and Universities in Great Bay Area (GBA) to work together for high-quality research, foster young talents, and facilitate the external collaboration with industrial partners in the field of biosensing and precision theranostics.
