General Guidelines

  1. At least one author must be available to present the abstract at the Conference.
  2. Presenters of selected abstracts must register for the Conference.
  3. Acceptance of an abstract does not imply provision of travel, accommodation or registration for the Conference, nor any other cost associated with the preparation or presentation of the abstract, or any cost associated with attendance at the Conference.
  4. Poster presentations must be prepared using the template provided:

  5. A display board measuring 1000mm in width x 2500mm in height will be provided. The poster number will be placed on the top of the board. Presenters are suggested to make full use of the display board and avoid placing anything at the bottom part of the board as it will be difficult to view. Posters should generally be in A0 size (width: 841mm x height: 1189mm) and include the followings:
    *
    Abstract title, author and co-author names, and the institution(s) where research is conducted 
    *Reproduction of the abstract in the upper left-hand side of the poster, written with the headings “Background”, “Methods”, “Results”, “Discussion” and “Conclusions”
  6. Each poster will be displayed for one day only. Presenters may put up their posters at 09:30 - 17:30 on the designated presentation day. All posters should be dismantled by 18:00 at the end of the presentation day. Any poster not removed by that time will be disposed without further notice. 
  7. Adhesive Velcro will be provided onsite for poster mounting. Push pins and staples are not allowed. Poster presenters are responsible to mount and dismount their posters on the display board by themselves. The Organiser will not take responsibility for any loss or damage of display materials before, during and after the Conference.
  8. Tables, electronics or audio-visual equipment will not be provided at the poster presentation venue.

Best Poster Presentation Awards
A cash award of HK$1,000 and a certificate will be given to the best poster presentation for each key topic. Awardees will be informed via their registered mobile number or email by the end of their designated presentation day. The Awards will be presented at the Closing Ceremony held at 17:30 on 11 May 2023 at V322, PolyU Campus. Awardees are strongly encouraged to attend the Closing Ceremony. PAIR constituent research unit may arrange for additional poster awards and award presentation.
