Higher Diploma Language and Communication Requirements (HDLCR)

The purposes of the HDLCR are to help you develop language competence in support of academic and professional needs and to become an effective communicator.

All students are required to take LCR subjects in English and Chinese. The credit requirement of HDLCR subjects is specified in your Programme Requirement Document. Depending upon your level of language proficiency at entry, you may be required to take either degree-equivalent HDLCR subjects or LCR subjects at the bachelor’s degree level.
