Dr Lam Tai-fai stated that PolyU would work hand in hand with Shaoxing to deepen collaborative innovation among Government, industry, academia and research, encouraging the transformation of high-calibre research outcomes for mutual benefit and growth.

Ms Wu Dengfen stated that the Institute had become a national intellectual property protection demonstration zone, providing enterprises and talent with strong support for innovation and an enabling environment for development.
Prof. Christopher Chao noted that PolyU would leverage its strength in research innovation and knowledge transfer to drive technological innovation and the commercialisation of research outcomes, thereby promoting regional sustainable development.
香港理工大學（理大）昨日與紹興市柯橋區人民政府就共建的「香港理工大學紹興技術創新研究院」（研究院）舉行投運啟動儀式暨「InnoHub紹興創業中心」授牌，標誌著港紹兩地在科技創新合作邁入新階段，為長三角區域一體化發展揭開嶄新篇章。
啟動儀式在紹興舉行，由理大校董會主席林大輝博士、高級副校長（研究及創新）趙汝恒教授、協理副校長（內地研究拓展）董澄教授、理大紹興技術創新研究院院長忻浩忠教授，聯同紹興市委副書記及市長吳登芬女士、浙江省紹興市人民政府副市長張雪女士、柯橋區委副書記及區長景堯先生，以及柯橋區委常委及組織部部長潘曉東先生共同主持，見證研究院正式落地。
林大輝博士在致辭中表示：「理大紹興技術創新研究院是紹興市首家政府與境外高校合作的平台，充分體現各級政府對高等教育和科技創新的高度重視。理大將與紹興攜手並肩，深化政產學研協同創新，推動更多高水平的科技成果落地生根，實現互利共贏、共同成長。」
吳登芬女士在致辭中表示：「柯橋區與理大自去年九月簽訂共建協議以來，雙方攜手同行、順暢合作，短短一年多時間，就建成投運香港理工大學紹興技術創新研究院，創建成為國家智慧財產權保護示範區，為企業和人才提供良好的創新支撐與發展環境。」
理大紹興技術創新研究院將聚焦四大科研中心，重點建設智慧紡織、現代住建、碳纖維及複合材料，以及食品營養與健康等領域。趙汝恒教授表示，這些研究方向高度契合國家戰略與地方產業布局，借助理大科研創新和知識轉移的綜合優勢，推動技術創新與成果轉化，促進區域可持續發展。
