Summary

Digital twin technology is currently the main technology in smart cities in China. This communication will distinguish between the concepts of digital twin and digital twin cities, showcase domestic and foreign digital twin cases, analyze the current situation and problems of domestic digital twin cities, and predict the future development trend of Chinese digital twin cities.

He Tao, graduated from Wuhan University, major in Surveying and Mapping engineering & International Software engineering. Chief Engineer of Shenzhen Aerospace Smart City System Technology Research Institute, Director of Shenzhen Satellite and Its Applications Key Laboratory, Industry Supervisor for Master at Southern University of Science and Technology of China, Industry Supervisor for Master at Shenzhen University, member of the Underground Pipeline Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Surveying and Mapping, Executive Director of Shenzhen Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Society, led or participated many national, provincial, and municipal science and technology special projects.
