ISE student received the Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award 2014
Vox Wong Ka-lai is a second year student of the BEng (Hons) programme in Product Engineering with Marketing who has received the prestigious Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award 2014, organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and jointly sponsored by the Innovation and Technology Commission and the Hongkong Bank Foundation.
Vox obtained the scholarship because of her passion for Innovation and Technology. She will go on an exchange programme at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia for 21 weeks. She hopes to learn the local culture and expertise and to help develop more technological products in Hong Kong.
Vox expressed the view that scholarship is of great importance to those students who are pursuing their interests in technology and innovation. The awardees obtain recognition and encouragement from the community. She really feels that Hong Kong has put strong emphasis on technology and innovation, and it is very essential to future development. She will make the best use of her talent to continuously contribute to society.
The 25 awardees, including Vox, will receive a maximum of $150,000 each for them to participate in a series of service projects, overseas attachments, mentorships and local internship programmes.
