PolyU President talks about recent green initiatives

Professor Timothy Tong, PolyU President, talked about his aspiration for a green campus and the University’s recent sustainable initiatives in his column on 18 August 2017. He articulated his appreciation of the trees on campus, in particular, the oldest trees on campus located in front of Pao Yue-kong Library. He believed that PolyU students and staff would agree with him and were eager for a ‘Green Campus’ with a lot of trees and greenery.

He also reinforced PolyU’s dedication to driving a paperless culture. The University recently announced a plan to reduce paper consumption by an overall 10% at the end of the next financial year.
