Alumni’s encounter with green campus

Organized by the Alumni Affairs and Development Office (AADO) and supported by the Campus Sustainability Office (CSO), a group of alumni and their family members spent a fruitful morning and enjoyed a green campus tour on 19 August 2017.

The day started when Mr. Joseph Chan, Head, Campus Sustainability, greeted the participants and elaborated on the sustainability and environmental advances PolyU has made. Soon the participants moved on with their green campus journey. The participants enjoyed an interesting exploration into a number of the University’s significant sustainability-related achievements, green facilities, and natural greenery. The tour came to a fruitful close as the participants put what they learned into practice and made their upcycled wine cork stamps. This activity not only brought an unforgettable experience to the participants but also provided an opportunity for them to pick up sustainability concepts and appreciate the beauty of green.

Alumni were introduced to the various green facilities established by their alma mater
