Unveiling Fair Trade

The Campus Sustainability Committee and Campus Sustainability Office organized two ‘Taste Fair Trade @PolyU’ workshops on 18 and 20 July 2017 that offered PolyU staff members an interesting journey to the Fair Trade world. Staff members were introduced to a variety of Fair Trade food items which are perfect for their pantry drawers. They tried the yummy dried fruit snacks that satisfied their taste buds. They also learned more about the Fair Trade standards, practices, traders and their products.

We can consider factoring Fair Trade into our purchase and dining habits, and we can read more about Fair Trade and the principles they are advocating.
