Guidelines for Oral Presentation

1. Each abstract accepted to 2021 PRSLLS must be presented by the author/co-author, who must be a postgraduate student.

2. Oral presentation must be delivered live within a Zoom webinar.

3. The allocation time is 15 minutes for presentation followed by 5 minutes for Q & A. You must not go over this time and a timekeeper will interrupt your presentation if you go over.

4. Please provide a pre-recorded presentation. In case of technical issues (e.g. unstable internet connection), the session host will play your pre-recorded presentation at the scheduled time, and the presenter should be in the room meeting for a Q&A session.

Please share your file with a link (by Google drive or One drive) before 15 June 2021 (11:59 pm) so that the organizers can download your pre-recorded presentation.

5. Please come into your session room through Zoom at least 10 minutes before the start of the session.
You will be sent a Zoom link for your live presentation. You MUST use this link in order to access your session.

Once in the virtual room, the host will turn off the audience microphones but the participants can unmute if verbal interaction with the presenter is necessary. Please keep your microphone muted when other speakers are presenting or a video presentation is being played. During the session, it is expected to activate your camera.

6. The session host will change your role from “participant” to “co-host” so that you will be able to share your screen and show your presentation.

7. The speaker is required to participate live in the Q&A session that will be held immediately after the presentation. Questions from the audience will be asked through the Zoom Chat and will be read out by the session chair.

8. You are welcome to use PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides – whichever program works best for you.

9. There is no maximum number of slides but the time limit is enforced.
