Biography
Dr. Mengqi LI is a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She earned her PhD in Nursing from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and completed her postdoctoral training at the School of Nursing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. Li has also been a visiting scholar at Oregon Health and Technology University in The United States.
With over ten years of clinical and research experience in health services and psychosocial support, Dr. Li specializes in evaluating the feasibility and effectiveness of physical-psychosocial interventions for individuals with mobility impairments, including those with spinal cord injuries and osteoarthritis. She has substantial expertise in developing and evaluating chatbot-based health interventions, such as chatbot-delivered motivational interviewing techniques for health behaviour change and chatbot-delivered mindfulness training for mental health promotion. In addition, Dr. Li serves as an editorial board member, guest editor, and reviewer for several high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
