Technical Visit to CLP Pulse

CLP Pulse is an innovative community initiative launched by CLP Power Hong Kong to inspire and empower the next generation.  The program focuses on nurturing young talent, fostering creativity and promoting sustainable development in Hong Kong.  Through a variety of activities, including innovative challenges, mentorship and educational workshops, CLP Pulse connects young people with industry experts and resources, helping them turn their ideas into reality.  The initiative also aims to raise awareness about energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, supporting a smarter and greener future for the community.

On 20 September, 2025, we had a technical visit to CLP Pulse. With adverse weather of typhoon no. 3 was hoisted up, we still had 6 participants joining this event. We started the event at 11:10 A.M. with a bit late to reconfirm whether the remaining participants would join the event or not. We started with the history of CLP.

There was a showcase with the difference with and without electricity to the family and how the life had changed.

We had a model showing different types of source of energy that were used to generate electricity including natural gas (52%), nuclear energy (31%), coal (16%) and renewal energy (1%). 

We had a better understanding about the development of CLP and the contribution of Kadoorie family to Hong Kong. At the end we had group photo and souvenir presentation.
