  • Students not meeting the equivalent standard of the Undergraduate Degree Language Communication Requirements (LCR) based on their previous studies in Associate Degree/Higher Diploma programmes and their academic performance will be required to take additional credits (6 in English and 3 in Chinese) on top of the programme's normal credit requirements.

Aims and Characteristics

Programme Aims 

The programme is designed to equip students with knowledge in Chinese history and culture as well as personal skills which they can apply in pursuing their career and in making contributions to the government, economy and society of Hong Kong, China and the rest of the world. The general aim of the programme is to educate and train its students into individuals who are

  1. strongly committed to self-cultivation and the welfare of the community
  2. culturally enriched and effective in communication skills;
  3. respectful of the rule of law;
  4. socially responsible; and
  5. observant of business ethics and business common-sense.

 

Medium of Instruction

  • 60% of the core and area specific subjects will be taught in Chinese (Putonghua), and the rest in English
