Biography
Bin CHEN(陈斌) received his BA from Xiamen University, China, MA from the University of Macau, and Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University. Before joining The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he worked as an Assistant Professor (Teaching) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and as a post-doctoral teaching fellow at the Pennsylvania State University. His research interests focus on China’s modern transition, Islam in China, the social history of religion, and the history of social relief.
