Heated final basketball match between PolyU and Taiwan University of Science and Technology
The Gold Award of the University Division went to a team from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, at the Global Student Challenge.
The University has staged a wide array of events, to cater for different interest, including a flash mob orchestral performance, business case competition, basketball tournament, and youth summit etc. They are all well participated by students from PolyU, Chinese mainland and overseas.
Asian Universities Invitational Basketball Tournament
In June, the PolyU men’s team snatched the championship of the “PolyU • King’s Flair Group Asian Universities Invitational Basketball Tournament”, after rounds of exciting matches among eight elite basketball teams from Asian universities.
Global Student Challenge
With an aim to promoting entrepreneurial culture and cultivate social responsibility among young people, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Student Challenge had attracted over 250 business proposals from around the world. Forty shortlisted teams consisting of 150 contestants from 22 countries and regions travelled to Hong Kong in June for the semifinal and final competitions.
