Participants of Buddies’ University paid a visit to House of Innovation to learn about PolyU’s creative innovations.
PolyU hosted various events such as exhibitions, dinners and exchange activities, uniting alumni, industry partners, friends and members of the community. The Open Day showcasing the University’s development and achievements will be held on 2– 3 December. The 80th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, with over 100 tables, has been scheduled for 7 December.
Aerospace exchange activities
PolyU has a long history of active participation in national and international space projects. In celebration of the 80th anniversary, a series of public lectures and events were held to enhance the community’s understanding of space exploration and to showcase the nation’s achievement in aerospace development. PolyU researchers also had an exchange with the aerospace technology expert delegation.
Voluntary work in 18 districts
The PolyU Volunteers team coordinated numerous community care services during the year. Among the list, the Buddies’ University programme invited some 900 elderly people from 18 districts to experience university life at PolyU. ♦
“Snapshot ‘80’ in 80 Days” photo competition
The “Snapshot ‘80’ in 80 Day” photo competition received overwhelming responses, with participants sent in creative photos, capturing images or patterns related to “80” in celebration of PolyU’s 80th anniversary.
