《Symposium on Climate Policy Risk and Green Infrastructure Financing in the Belt and Road Initiative: Policy Implications for Infrastructure Loan Securitisation》
Prof. Jeff SHEN, Associate Professor of BRE, and his research team hosted a symposium at PolyU under the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme. The event drew over 50 participants from industry, academia, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the World Green Organisation and the ESG Consortium.
The Symposium featured four thematic sessions that addressed the financing gap in Belt and Road countries, the unveiling of a novel Climate Policy Risk Index, and empirical findings on project bankability. The day concluded with a session on infrastructure loan securitisation and an interactive open forum. The event provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss policy pathways for sustainable market development in the Belt and Road Initiative.
