We were honoured to welcome Prof. Blair KUYS, Executive Dean of the School of Design and Architecture at Swinburne University of Technology, as the speaker for our recent BRE Distinguished Lecture. Prof. Kuys delivered an inspiring talk on ‘Modern Methods of Construction, Sustainability and AI Using a Research-led Design Practice Approach to Promote Innovation.’
During the lecture, Prof. Kuys shared valuable insights and showcased industry projects that demonstrate how research-driven design can transform innovative ideas into real-world assets for organizational growth. He emphasized the vital role of creativity and innovation in the face of rapid advancements in AI, highlighting how AI can serve as a powerful tool to enhance new ideas and solutions. The lecture also underscored the ongoing importance of sustainability and explored how Modern Methods of Construction can drive the AEC sector forward.
