《BRE x HKICON CPD Event》
Co-hosted with the Hong Kong Institute of Architectural Conservationists (HKICON), BRE was pleased to support a joint Continuing Professional Development (CPD) talk in October 2025, with the focus on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in historic building conservation. Speakers Ar Prof. Tris KEE, Associate Professor of BRE, and Ms MAO Chenrui, a BRE research student, shared valuable insights on using AHP to address challenges such as risk management, stakeholder conflicts and subjective value assessments. Case studies from Italy and New Zealand illustrated AHP’s effectiveness in optimising conservation strategies. The event also explored integrating AHP with AI for adaptive planning, aligning with the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
