多倫多大學東亞系教授
芝加哥大學博士，任教於多倫多大學東亞系，研究 方向與興趣為文化大革命史、中華人民共和國史、 比較社會主義歷史、革命與社會運動史等，其專著The Cultural Revolution at the Margins: Chinese Socialism in Crisis（Harvard University Press, 2014）獲美國社會科學歷史學會最佳著作獎、加拿大歷史學會最佳著作提名獎。
