Programme Aims:


The Korean Minor programme aims to equip students with (1) Korean language skills in four areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing, (2) a good understanding of traditional and contemporary Korean culture and society, and (3) broad socio-cultural awareness, so that they will become effective communicators in Korean and problem-solvers in various academic and professional contexts with a global outlook.


Programme Outcomes:


Students who have successfully completed the program will be able to:

  1. possess Korean language competences in listening, speaking, reading and writing; 
  2. communicate effectively in Korean with understanding of communication norms for various academic and professional contexts;
  3. understand traditional and contemporary Korean culture and society;
  4. appreciate other cultures and societies with intercultural awareness;
  5. display cooperative ability, self-motivation, leadership and critical thinking.
