Biography

Dr. Aaron Leung is a certified prosthetist-orthotist and is founding chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Certified Prosthetist-Orthotists. He has also served as a member of the Category I Education Sub-committee of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics as well as associate editor of the Prosthetics and Orthotics International journal. He is also founding member of the Biomedical Engineering Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the World Association for Chinese Biomedical Engineers. He has recently served as committee member of the Rehabilitation Engineering Division of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering and the Rehabilitation Engineering Division of the Chinese Association of Assistive Products. Dr. Leung is an Associate Professor of the Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering. He was programme leader of the bachelor’s degree programmes in prosthetics & orthotics, health technology, and biomedical engineering; and the master’s degree programmes in health technology, and prosthetics & orthotics. He is the coordinator of the biomedical engineering (prosthetics and orthotics) clinical attachment and the prosthetics and orthotics community service learning project. He also serves as consultant of the prosthetic and orthotic service offered by the Jockey Club Rehabilitation Engineering Clinic.
