Summary
Introduction
Organised by the Division of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities (AIH), the Generative AI and the Humanities Online Workshop (GAHOW) aims to provide students with foundational knowledge in the areas of humanities, programming, AI, and computational linguistics. A total of 10 online sessions will be held within 5 days.
The sessions will offer a comprehensive overview and cover foundational concepts of the intersection between generative AI and humanities. Designed for participants with diverse backgrounds and interests, the sessions will enable participants to develop a holistic understanding of the field.

Date: 10 – 14 August 2026 (Monday – Friday)
Daily Schedule: 9:20am – 12:20pm (Morning Session) and 2:00pm – 5:00pm (Afternoon Session)

Participants who attend at least 80% of the workshop sessions will receive a certificate of attendance. All other factors being equal, Summer Workshop participants who complete the workshop will receive priority consideration for admission to the MSc in Generative AI and the Humanities (MScGAH) programme, subject to meeting the standard admission requirements.
