Biography

Eugene Oue is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a macroeconomist with research interests in family economics, inequality, international finance, and innovation and growth.

Eugene received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland in 2023 under the supervision of Borağan Aruoba, Luminita Stevens, and Felipe Saffie. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, he attended the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and received his B.Sc. in Economics and Finance in 2017.
