JOURNAL OF CONTEMPORARY ACCOUNTING & ECONOMICS
Annual Symposium and Doctoral Consortium
January 8th – 10th, 2026

The 2026 JCAE Annual Symposium, organized by the Journal, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Anhui University of Finance and Economics, will be held in Swan Lake Hotel Hefei, Anhui from January 9-10, 2026. It will be preceded by the Doctoral Consortium on January 8, 2026.

The Theme
The theme of the 2026 JCAE Annual Symposium will be Current issues in accounting and economics research: implications for markets, organizations, and society. We invite submissions on a wide range of issues with significant implications for markets, organizations, and society. We particularly welcome accounting and economics research on topics that address current opportunities and challenges in today’s fast-changing regulatory, technological, and economic landscape, including, but are not limited to:

• AI, Fintech, innovation
• Climate risk, biodiversity risk
• Corporate social responsibility, sustainable growth  
• Sustainability reporting
• Informed decision-making, effective resource allocation
