The overall objective of the CoP is to continually enhance the design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of service learning at PolyU. The specific objectives are:
To establish a network of PolyU staff with a common interest in the theory and practice of service-learning pedagogy;
To provide a forum for sharing of experience and expertise in designing, delivering, assessing and evaluating service learning subjects and projects;
To encourage and support members to further develop their understanding of and competence in service-learning pedagogy; and
To promote a scholarly approach to, and a culture of critical inquiry and reflective practice in, service learning
