As a PolyU graduate at the undergraduate level, you will be expected to achieve the learning outcomes which can be broadly understood as covering a number of key domains of development, representing broad qualities expected in PolyU graduates, which include: competent professionals, critical thinkers, effective communicators, innovative problem solvers, lifelong learners and ethical leaders.

Competent professionals: You are expected to be able to integrate and apply in practice the fundamental knowledge and skills required for functioning effectively as an entry-level professional.

Critical thinkers: You are expected to be able to examine and critique the validity of information, arguments, and different viewpoints, and reach a sound judgment on the basis of credible evidence and logical reasoning.

Effective communicators: You are expected to be able to comprehend and communicate effectively in English and Chinese, orally and in writing, in professional and daily contexts.

Innovative problem solvers: You are expected to be able to identify and define problems in professional and daily contexts, and produce creative and workable solutions to the problems.

Lifelong learners: You are expected to be able to recognise the need for continual learning and selfdevelopment, and be able to plan, manage and improve their own learning in pursuit of selfdetermined development goals.
