Eye examination project for the elderly

PolyU and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) jointly launched the “Smart Eye Outreach Project for the Elderly” initiative to provide vision care for the underprivileged elderly.

Under this scheme, TWGHs will sponsor the eligible elderly to receive complimentary eye check-ups at a TWGHs outreach platform equipped with equipment and facilities arranged by PolyU’s School of Optometry. Registered optometrists and optometry students will provide comprehensive eye examination service including vision, refractive status and ocular health assessment, and recommend follow-ups or referrals if necessary.
