On 6 September 2012, PolyU warmly welcomed some 20 members of the University Grant Committee (UGC) and staff of its secretariat during a visit to the University. The delegation was greeted by PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong, together with the senior management and representatives of Faculties/Schools, followed by a briefing on PolyU’s major developments by Prof. Tong. Afterwards, UGC members toured round the campus and visited the Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management. They also met with students who shared their learning experience at PolyU.
