The 5th International Conference on Fluorescent Biomolecules and their Building Blocks (FB3), which took place last week at PolyU, was a resounding success. Prof. Chris Chang (UC Berkeley), Prof. Kai Johnsson (EPFL) and Prof. Markus Sauer (University of Würzburg) headlined the event as keynote speakers, and 24 invited speakers and 5 oral speakers from around the globe gathered to share their latest findings and innovations on the research of state-of-the-art development and applications of fluorescent probe molecules for biomolecular and nanotechnological systems. There was also a poster session with more than 30 posters presented to the audience, fostering fruitful and enlightening discussions among professors and postgraduate students from PolyU and other local and overseas universities.
