Learning and Teaching Strategies Series: Workshop on Using Mobile Applications for Investigative Study of Physics |
Description / Introduction: |
Nowadays, a smart phone is more than just a phone. It is equipped with various high-quality sensors, such as accelerometers, as well as detectors of magnetic field, light and sound. Students may make good use of these sensors to perform investigations in school laboratories and outside school campus. With the application “AP-Sensor” that can collect and manipulate data from commonly available sensors in the smart phones, students can do their Physics investigations at anytime and anywhere. This offers a possible way for teachers to promote inquiry-based learning and to provide students with meaningful learning experiences in science. https://tcs.edb.gov.hk/tcs/admin/courses/previewCourse/forPortal.htm?courseId=CDI020181048&lang=en |
