Subject Title:

Socially Responsible Global Leadership in a Digital World

Description:

The subject helps PolyU students appreciate the practical issues of societal and community needs, ethics and community-civic responsibilities associated with different cultures, ethnicities or societies.  Students apply appropriate technology solutions to address the needs of underprivileged people in Cambodia and Rwanda.

Students pair up with the youngsters from the local universities or villages to design and install reliably off-grid energy solutions for rural communities. They also provide training on how to use the system safely and conduct surveys to understand the daily practices of the underprivileged residents.
