Engineering Design for the Community

Description:

Students design and develop assistive devices or tools for the elderly with disabilities to facilitate their daily activities and rebuild their confidence and daily-life working ability. PolyU students first understand the genuine needs of the service recipients after in-depth discussions. They then develop the assistive devices or tools for the service recipients, and modify the design until the service recipients are happy with the devices/tools.
