Subject Title:

Comprehending and Overcoming Learning Hurdles in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for Local Schools

Description:

By using the LEGO® Technic system as a teaching tool, PolyU students organise a Workshop on LEGO® Mindstorms Design for secondary school students. PolyU students develop teaching plans and use LEGO® educational kits to teach STEM topics while running fun experiments and demonstrations for student participants. The participants also learn how to create LEGO® vehicles. They gain understanding of how these vehicles can be programmed. Finally, a problem-solving competition is held and students use their unique mechanical vehicle to tackle problems in the competition.
