Dr Nelson Tsang and
Dr Markus Schuckert.
Dr Lorenzo Masiero and
Dr Stephen Pratt were successful with Early Career Scheme (ECS) applications and
Professor Cathy Hsu was successful with a Public Policy Research (PPR) application.

Dr Steve Pan and Dr Barry Mak received the Brian Archer Recognition Award at the 7th World Conference for Graduate Research in Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure and 3rd Interdisciplinary Tourism Research Conference in Istanbul, Turkey on 3-8 June 2014.

Ms Jennifer Zhang Ao-shuang, a MSc student in the International Tourism and Convention Management programme, received the
Merit Award of the TTRA Boeing Masters Student Research Award at the Travel and Tourism Research Association 45th Annual International Conference in Brugge, Belgium on 18-20 June 2014, based on her master's thesis entitled
"The Role of Social Networking Sites in Facilitating Attendee's Conference Experience: A Case Study", undertaken under the supervision of Dr Dan Wang.

Dr Sam Kim and Ph.D. student Ms Ja-young Choe received Silver Prize for their paper "Is Globalization of a National Food Possible? Market Segmentation by Reasons for Preferring Korean Food" at the 2014 World Hospitality and Tourism Forum in Seoul, Korea on 26-28 June.
