Designing Holistic Longevity: An Immersive Digital Health Ecosystem for Seniors

The core of our project is a powerful synergy between rigorous research and real-world practice. A six-month Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT), conducted with leading social service organizations in Hong Kong, scientifically validated the system's significant benefits for seniors' cognitive function, physical balance, and overall quality of life. This robust evidence base turns the concept of “smart elderly care” into a quantifiable and replicable solution.

The project's impact has resonated across industry and society, showcased from the Shenzhen International Intelligent Elderly Care Industry Expo to our school’s Global Research in Design Innovation Exhibition. We are now translating this success into tangible industry advancement, exploring applications in community care, telemedicine, and intergenerational connection. This initiative fully embodies our school and university's commitment to addressing major societal challenges through innovative, interdisciplinary design.
