Before joining PolyU Design, Wangda Zhu was a Postdoc Associate at University of Florida focusing on Generative AI in design and education. He has a PhD in Human Behavior and Design and a Master from Cornell University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Design, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Zhejiang University. He has taught design and research methods at Cornell University, University of Florida, and University of Pittsburgh. He has worked as a UX researcher for leading technology companies such as Google, Alibaba, and EBSCO for over one year. His research interests include creative systems design and development, AI in design and education, and design research methods. He has published papers on design, education, and technology in several journals and conferences, such as Computers & Education, LAK, ACM SIGCSE etc.
