Biography

Marc Chataigner is a design practitioner and educator with twenty years of experience consulting in service design, business transformation, and platform innovation. He led engagements with public and private organisations across Europe, Japan, and China to innovate, transform, and optimise end-to-end service delivery in sectors such as e-mobility, public transportation, logistics, energy, healthcare, and finance. He holds a PhD in Economics from Kyoto University and a Master’s in Design from the Design Academy Eindhoven. His research bridges design practice, sociomateriality, and entrepreneurship to explore new design philosophies that address the limitations of current development models and enhance the agency of stakeholders involved. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Practice in Service Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design.
