PolyU exhibits ECO innovations at Rethink expo

PolyU showcased impactful solutions for achieving carbon neutrality and sustainability at the Rethink expo. The event was held at HKCEC on 14-15 Sept 2023 and has attracted over 6,000+ attendance in two days. The PolyU booth features a wide spectrum of innovations, including sustainable construction materials invented by the research team of Ir Prof Chi Sun POON from Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), and economical and sustainable reclamation solutions discovered by Ir Prof Jian-hua YIN of CEE and his team. Industry practitioners engaged in discussions with our researchers for path-breaking research projects aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.

In addition, Ir Prof Horace Mui from Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering joined other experts in the fields of housing, technology, and social innovation for a panel discussion with the topic “Creating Impact in Housing via Social and Technological Innovations”. They shared insights on how innovation transforms the housing industry, improving energy efficiency, safety and security, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life.
