Core Research

Research 1: Forecast-to-Network Transfer Auditing under Retrospective Weather Perturbations: A WRF–LSTM Urban UAV Case Study.

Research illustration: Forecast-to-Network Transfer Auditing under Retrospective Weather Perturbations: A WRF–LSTM Urban UAV Case Study.
This study audits how weather perturbations propagate through an urban UAV network using a retrospective Typhoon Saola WRF–LSTM case. Although many edge labels changed, few affected returned routes, leaving proxy service nearly unchanged. Results demonstrate network filtering, not forecast superiority or validated operational performance.

Main contributions of Research 1:

1) Establishes an end-to-end audit tracing weather changes from station forecasts to UAV network services.
2) Introduces AARA to evaluate coverage, feasibility, service, abstention, and request-level transitions.
3) Quantifies how thresholds, topology, routing, and abstention filter weather-induced network changes.

Research 2: An Auditable Aerospace Information System for Weather-Evidence Acquisition in Advanced Air Mobility Planning.

Research illustration: An Auditable Aerospace Information System for Weather-Evidence Acquisition in Advanced Air Mobility Planning.
This paper develops an auditable aerospace information system that prioritizes historical weather dates for high-resolution data acquisition in advanced air mobility planning. It integrates provenance-aware data preparation, non-compensatory evidence tiers, warning-aware Top-K ranking, explicit acquisition states, and gated downstream reconstruction. In retrospective evaluation at K=40, the full rule captured 19/35 endpoint dates while retaining all 26 severe-warning dates and all 15 warning events, outperforming the simplified rule on safety-priority coverage. Twelve Waglan Island returns verified the acquisition workflow. Spatial sensitivity and the use of 2025 outcomes limit the findings to retrospective evidence rather than prospective operational validation.

Main contributions of Research 2:

1) Establishes an auditable aerospace information system integrating provenance, evidence tiers, reason-coded ranking, quality states, explicit downstream data-use restrictions, and governance.
2) Demonstrates that risk-aware ranking preserves severe-warning scenarios, sacrificing one endpoint hit to achieve substantially broader safety-priority coverage under fixed budgets.
3) Defines reproducible acquisition, quality-control, incorporation, and validation states while separating retrospective workflow evidence from future prospective operational validation requirements explicitly. Establishes an auditable aerospace information system.
