Prof. Ng received Fellowship recognition from the Royal Aeronautical Society. Over the past five years (or nearly ten years since the start of Prof. Ng's PhD studies), his research has made significant contributions to air traffic management and aviation safety. Our team have developed several advanced deep learning frameworks for real-time aircraft wake decay and weather hazard prediction, enhancing runway throughput and terminal air traffic flow efficiency. Our research team will continue to focus on meteorologically driven ATM research, collaborating with the Hong Kong Observatory and the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department to address operational constraints, translate them into research challenges, and make further impact on the ATM community.
