Research Postgraduate Programme

Students are required to attend the 3-hour e-learning lecture and 3 hours of self-study on the National Education. 20 lecture notes covering the following content will be distributed to the students.

  • The Modern Chinese History and the Restoration of Hong Kong to the People’s Republic of China in 1997
  • The Constitution
  • The Hong Kong Basic Law
  • The Hong Kong National Security Law
  • Students are required to pass an assessment that allows for multiple attempts. They have to take a test with 10 multiple-choice questions and must attain a minimum score of 8/10 to get a passing grade. Attainment of a “Pass” is a graduation requirement. All research students are required to complete the e-learning module before thesis submission as a graduation requirement. Students should take the 3-hour online module on Blackboard.
  • Exchange students are not required to take the e-learning module.
