BSc (Hons) in Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Awardee of Outstanding Student Award 2021, Faculty of Construction and Environment & Outstanding Student Award 2021, Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics

I am deeply honoured and privileged to receive the Outstanding Student Award of Faculty of Construction and Environment. This award does not only serve as a recognition of my effort and hard work in the past few years at PolyU, but also as a motivation for me to move forward and strive for excellence.

In my view, an outstanding student should keep abreast of new technology and stay hungry for knowledge. Leaving the comfort zone and stepping into the growth zone may not guarantee success. However, one will likely bypass an opportunity if they choose to preserve their current situation. Hence, I am always eager to learn and never hesitate to develop new skills.

Besides, an outstanding student should always give back to the community and practice PolyU’s motto, “To learn and to apply, for the benefit of mankind.” The all-rounded education system at PolyU has not only allowed me to acquire professional skills as a land surveyor but has also equipped me with personal and interpersonal skills. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a student at PolyU, as it has granted me valuable chances and essential skills in contributing to the betterment of society.”
