Jue Wang is a health geographer and spatial analyst. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. He received a PhD degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Wang’s research interests involve health geography, human mobility, GIScience, big data, and spatial analysis. His recent research has included exploration of methodological issues in environmental health studies (e.g., uncertain geographic context problem and spatial non-stationarity), development of an unified analytical framework for environmental context profiling and individual exposure assessment, and examination of adult participation in high-risk drug use and of environmental influences on physical activity. He has also helped advance the state of spatial analysis and optimization literature through his work on hexagon-based adaptive crystal-growth Voronoi diagrams based on weighted planes for service area delimitation.
