Two webinars planned in February covering data analysis with R programming language and Shiny software as dashboard tool.

Students interested to gain basic knowledge of data analysis using R programming language and required technique in presentation of findings via dashboard tool for research project / coursework assignment are encouraged to enroll.

Students are required to have basic R programming knowledge or completed Basic R workshop or Data visualization with R workshop to benefit from these webinars.

Two timeslots for each webinar (afternoon and evening session) will be made available. Students can pick the convenient timeslot to join.

Data analysis with R

Data analysis covers process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of deriving insights from data for making informed decision. In this workshop, students will be equipped with the knowledge of data analysis technique with R through examples. Practical coursework and homework will be provided throughout the workshop.

Introduction to Shiny software

Shiny is an open software for building interactive web applications that can help you with effective data storytelling. With Shiny, prototyping an application is fast because it is all developed in R. Using Shiny, you can easily build dashboards, host standalone applications on a webpage, or embed them in R Markdown documents.

This workshop introduces Shiny software and its application to build data dashboard.
